yes, its that time of year again.

like any carny at heart.... we couldn't pass up a chance to blow some cash money at the fair.

with that tasty treat i left with the babies

the big kids (austin, kate, goldie) stayed with auntie and rode their little hearts out.

a day I don't want to forget

a confession.

i pulled the camera out right that this moment during lunch because as we sat there and i looked at my babies who are growing too fast, i immediately teared up and though i never never want to forget today!

it was just us...

nothing to do, nowhere to go!

austin stayed home from school.

it was rainy.

we were very low key...hence the wardrobe or the lack of.

i know its long but you wont regret it!

charlotte's turn

lottie bear really wasn't sure about this stranger touching her but she obliged!

then she started screaming
bam, it was done.
 so i thought.

this should have been the end of the whole piercing ordeal but true to charlotte form nothing is that easy!

that night (thursday) after we put her to bed she pulled out her right earring. 

3am she wakes up and i discovered the earring was gone. tried to stick another one in to keep it from closing. 

NO SUCH LUCK!

the next morning i find the sharp piercing earring and try again... not a chance! 

don't forget she is still screaming... every time i even look like i might just look at her ear she starts screaming.

Monday we went back to claire's.

 it was a total freak thing that she could pull out the earring.

right?!

 have you ever tried to pull out a pirecing earring? its hard!

the lady asks me before we got started, "so what are you going to do to prevent her from pulling it out again".

 i kinda laugh and say... "well since she did it while she was in bed, i don't know just pray that she doesn't do it" again?!? haha jokes on her!

don't kid yourself... part of my laughter was nerves/embarrassment because the second we walked back into claire's charlotte knew what was up and the screaming, crying began!

i wish everyone could have seen me trying to hold my clawing, screaming dragon child.

i literally was a circus act!

i manged to hold her legs in between my thighs, her arms i held down with one of my arms and her head i held with my other hand.

i basically was a human straight jacket!

i was dying!

the worst part of it was the audience we had!

thank you claire's for putting your ear piercing station right by the window so rest of the mall can judge you and look at you like you are the scum of the earth for the abuse you are putting your child through.

really people?

 you really think i want or like to see my child in complete terror. 

i had no other choice... she only had one ear pierced!

 it was done. we had both ears pierced again.... so we thought!

she made it almost exactly 2 day with 2 ears pierced. 

last night my nightmares came true... she came toddling in the family room with only 

one earing in

i looked at sam and said... please, you have to help me! 

just hold her down and i'll put it back in.

ha ha ha no such luck again!

 my baby's body heal with super human powers. the earing had only been out for like an hour and that's all it took. 

no more earrings for miss lottie lou till she 23!

 

 what i love about this whole thing is that just like her arrival into this world, her sleep training, eating.... she is persistent and determined to do it her way!

i was lightly scratching austin bare back and he says

"Munny, when something is sooo good you say... ahhh this is marvelous"

my boy is not only the most handsome boy but he's also the smartest!

quite time in our house call for nothing more than undies!

the man of my dreams

34 years later and he's still got it going on!

i have to say... i am one lucky girl to have snatched him from the hands of many wanting women!!

there are lots of reason for the title of this post.

the obvious is... he's quite dreamy.

i used to think that your love for someone would get to the point where it was full... as full as it can be and that you would just "be in love". i've learned that is not the case. i love this man more than ever. i love him more now than when he kissed me on the head after our first long day fishing together. i love him more than when we were dating. i love him more now than when he sent me the most beautiful arrangement of flowers half way across the world in hawaii. i love him more than when i saw him standing there in the airport in switzerland waiting for me and more than when he proposed to me over looking zurich. i love him more than when we walked out of the temple married together for eternity. i love him more now than when we had our first baby... and our second and our third.

i keep falling more in love with my babe as we grow old together....

he was made for me!

his birthday wish this year was simple... he wanted me to go camping with him and the kids.

because i love this man madly i indulge his wants.

but not before he opened his presents and had birthday cake.

we paddled, and paddled and made it across this lake to the boy's "perfect" spot. that is exactly what is was perfect.... right by the water on top of a little hill and under a huge oak. the weather was perfect, the fire was warm and the bug were missing.

it felt good sleeping in the tent next to the grizz and our babeis.

what didn't feel so good was the next morning when we had to paddle, paddle, paddle, paddle, paddle, paddle back across the lake.

with white caps... we really seriously almost tipped!

the good times just keep rolling!

shell came to town last night and and i handed over the reins for the slumber party. the girls ate up ever second of each other!! we played lots of janga, watched even more movies and changed more diapers than ever!!

today we kissed our kids and set off for our adventure.... more details just below!

there is some thing about this picture that makes my day.... any guesses? it show just a tiny bit of lottie lou's presence in our house. i miss her already!

she's so silly. why does she have a band aid on her forehead? how did it get there? oh, she probably pushed the stool into the bathroom, took a break to play in the toilet, then climbed up and got it her self! and it probably only took her 36 seconds too!

we had lots and lot and lots of dressing and undressing and dressing and undressing...

goldie made cake, austin was showinf rexamonie what playdough is all about and kitty made hot dogs...huh, maybe she was hungry?

After 2 hrs and 45 mins of sleep we headed out to like -26 degree weather.

why choose to visit canada in JANUARY you may ask?!?

well we have plans to show this friendly country a teeny tiny bit of WILD FLORIDA!!

5 regular sized suitcases

6 carry on suitcases

2 back packs

1 briefcase

1 computer bag

2 purses

6 people!!!!!

on another note, we've had quite a weekend full of ups and downs!

1. i added 2 more kids to the pot. sissy and jwh went to provo this weekend. We've been living one big fat slumber party since thursday! I told sam last night that i totally could do 5 kids. he laughed and said lets do it... right now! ha!

2. charlotte climbed to the top of grandma's hardwood stairs

1. charlotte fell from the top of grandma's hardwood stairs... poor baaaby!

2. flash our yellow celestial canary (more on him to come) was eaten by stray cats (more on them to come). It was devastating. i miss his sweet songs.

3. melody our celestial hen (more on her to come) was eaten by either the stray cats or the fox.... she laid her first egg ever (we've had her since june) yesterday!

What will today bring other than rexamonie pooping and peeing on my bed....we shall see!
