SHE'S BACK!!!

Last Saturday Sam let our little kitten outside for some freedom while he was working in the yard. Little did we know when our neighbor Bryan came over to borrow the Bobcat it would be potential disaster for our Minnie!
Bryan said when he started the Bobcat he heard a cat screech. The whole time he was working at the Pratt’s ranch he could hear a faint meow behind in the engine compartment…(yeah so so sad huh) When he was done that evening he came over to ask if we still had our cat. That is when we noticed she hadn’t ever come in from her frolicking in the yard. I was sure that it had gotten out somewhere and was wondering the Pratt’s ranch looking for her little Russy boy to pick her up. Brian and Sam went to Dad’s barn where he had parked the machine and looked all over for her, but had no luck. Sam kindly explained that this happened a lot growing up when the cats would get cold, climb in the tractor’s engine and get KILLED when they cranked up the engine. (I should have known because we just spent almost $300 getting our fuel injectors replaced because a “critter” crawled up while it was cold one night and chewed threw them). I realized going to search the Pratt’s would be in vain and sooner then later the Bobcat would start to stink and that would confirm Minnie’s fate. All week Austin would go out on the porch and call for her and then come in and ask me “Munny where’s yeow”. My explanation of her going to live with Heavenly Father and Jesus were worthless because every time he came in he would ask again.(Lindsay, I was beginning to believe your prediction)But, this Saturday (yes a whole week) Bryan came over with a BIG surprise… MINNIE our MEOW!!! She had camped out in the Bobcat (who knows where) until he had parked it at Dad’s barn and while he was there on Saturday he found her. Austin is so so so happy to have his “yeow”!!!

Here are some pictures of them… Cat & Kid… reunited.
Austin looks a little beat up from his cold.

Our CUTEST Easter kids.

We had a big Easter egg hunt at Grandma & Godad's house. Austin did really really well! I only had to help him find the first couple eggs before he caught on.

We had to do the bunny ears photo shoot in Target.

obsessed

One of my newest obsessions is baby leggings. They are genius! You don’t have to worry about pulling off tights or pants to change a diaper. I love love love these things.

2 years 3 months and 5 days

For the last 2 years, 3 months and 5 days Austin has been completely devoted to his nemesis the PACI. After investing well over a hundred dollars in the last two years we pulled the plug… literally.
NO MORE…
-Frantically searching my bag, pockets, shopping carts mid freak-out
-Getting told by old ladies that I need to take “that dirty” thing away…. (I got that one a few times)
-Grunting when he wants something
-Gathering 4 or 5 before bedtime… just in case he can't find one in the night
-Constantly cleaning and sanitizing that dang thing every time he drops it.

NO MORE PACI

A little tribute to my boy and his little friend
