Radio Flyer

I know it’s just a matter of time before Austin figures out how to fly this death trap… but until then he is totally content going in circles.

The Haircut...

After girly name calling from Go-dad and his uncles I finally gave in and Austin got the long awaited (by others) "summer buzz"... by the way, it still feels like summer here in FLA. Even though Sam and I would really like to grow his hair long... I just can't get past the awkward length stage. I'd like to say this is the LAST buzz... but check back in a few months when we are back at that awkward length! He is so dang cute with the buzz cut how can I resist... maybe it's because he looks more like his dad!

Austin hates getting his haircut as much as I hate seeing all the long months of growth fall to the floor. We had to bribe him with the lollipop to even allow the clippers to get near him. As you can see it didn’t really work!

Before the Cut...

Aunt Shelly would really like it if I had left the wicked skullet...

Austin would have fit in real nice here in St. Cloud... a popular style with the hicks... leaving just bangs on a boy and shaving the rest! Cute huh...

After the cut! Could there be a more handsome boy....

A Romantic Getaway

Sam really knows how to treat me right. He insisted that we go on a vacation (just the two of us) before our next baby arrives. He picked the perfect spot for us! He and I spent our romantic/anniversary trip in Longboat key… a little island off the Gulf of Mexico. This could be our new favorite place in the great state of Florida. It was amazing. The beach rivaled some that we had been to in Hawaii and the Carribean. It was 3 days of some real R&R. Our room was amazing, the beach was beautiful and the food was delicious (food to a Munns is really all that matters). We thoroughly enjoyed our time away, but of course were anxious to get back to our little boy.

The walk to the beach.

He’s a real angler… he caught this fish with his bare hands and the help of my sunglasses… they look good huh!
Our evening walk.
On one of our walks we ran into this little guy. Sam, the brave man, went waist deep in the water to catch him using his hat as protection from those claws.

The Belly....

We went at the perfect time… Although the day we checked out they were booked completely… there was hardly another person in sight while we were there.

The last night we were there we were trying to decide where to go for dinner when Sam got a call from a stranger saying that we had a reservation at the Crab and Fin from an anonymous benefactor…Thanks to that “anonymous benefactor” (Papa Munns you trickster) I ate like a real pregnant woman should! We even got our own dessert. Mine was a chocolate soufflĂ©… it was truly THE MOST DELICOUS DESSERT I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED! It was a good thing I didn’t have to share.

Needless to say... we had a GREAT time!
