The Ichetucknee River
The little family vacay this year was to "the river". We had a real good time, encountered some interesting people and were totally grossed out at our rooms in the "nicest hotel in town". (it really was the nicest one too)
Pics on the river with the underwater camera...
Jorge Amigo... enjoying his float
the man that makes everything happen... Fadashiem!
FAY
For those who follow the news I'm sure you heard about Nasty Ol' Fay who battered the coast of Florida for days! She just so happened to show her rear in Melbourne which caused some serious "hurricane parties" in St. Cloud. School was canceled for like 4 days. Vanessa and her family "evacuated" and stayed at Mom and Dad's. Not to mention Shanda and Erika and her 5 kids were already in town visiting from Virginia, Shelly and Goldie evacuated also... and of course I wasn't going to miss out on any part of that so my 2 kids and myself were there ... CHAOS!!!
It is kind of a sick tradition that we have: swimming in the middle of a hurricane. Erika, Emily and I went 3 yrs ago when we got like 3 storms in a week but the pool wasn't around so we settled for the pond... this year we had more participants and a much nicer facility.

Notice that you can't see me in the train... that's because I was being ripped to pieces by the jagged rocks...
There is something about being in the pool with sisters that reverts us to our childhood antics... old women hair do's, butt busters, etc....

While Erika and Shanda were here we had to have a "Girls Night" and what better place than Outback! I'm ALWAYS good for some Cheese Fries... extra good stuff!

I love the part where we can't see you on the train b/c you were being ripped to shreds by jagged rocks... I'm at work--yeah-WORK--and this is what I'm doing. I took your advice- got a job and I'm doing exactly what I would be doing on my sofa-except I'm in a weird office-call for more details!
